The CNE, often affectionately referred to as The Ex, is Canada’s largest community event and one of the top ten agricultural fairs in North America, attracting approximately 1.6 million visitors annually over the course of its 18-day run. With something for everyone, the CNE offers a wide range of attractions and interactive entertainment experiences including: concerts, midway rides and games, shopping, exhibits, tech and gaming hubs, food and wacky treats!

The philanthropic arm of the Canadian National Exhibition Association, we support programs that extend the community spirit and legacy of the CNEA to create meaningful opportunities and lasting benefits for those we serve.

About the CNEF 50/50 Raffle

Each year, the CNE Foundation raises vital funds to support its charitable and youth programs. Proceeds from the 50/50 raffle help fund community initiatives year-round. Tickets are sold online before and during the CNE, as well as in person at the event. Licensed by the AGCO, every ticket purchased supports CNE Foundation programs. During the event, 50/50 Ticket Sellers operate from multiple outdoor activations and designated roaming areas across the CNE grounds. Position Overview: Reporting to the 50/50 Manager, the 50/50 Assistant Manager supports the operation of the 50/50 Raffle, including supervising 50/50 Ticket Sellers.

Reporting to the 50/50 Manager, the 50/50 Assistant Manager supports the operation of the 50/50 Raffle, including supervising 50/50 Ticket Sellers.

Qualifications and Requirements

Previous 50/50 or ticket sales experience at large-scale events is an asset
Strong leadership, organizational, and motivational skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Reliable, enthusiastic, friendly, and self-motivated
Experience handling cash and processing payment card transactions
Proficient with Microsoft Office, computers, and mobile devices, including basic troubleshooting
Must be 18 years of age or older
Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, during the 2026 CNE (August 21–September 7)
Must be available to work 5–6 days per week during the CNE
Able to attend a mandatory training session in early to mid-August at the CNE grounds
Valid Ontario G driver’s licence required to operate on-site golf carts

Responsibilities

Supervise daily on-site 50/50 raffle operations
Assist with fundraiser setup and teardown, including coordination with operations staff and trades
Ensure sales, cash handling, and procedures comply with AGCO requirements
Motivate staff and support Ticket Sellers in achieving sales targets
Monitor sales performance and provide coaching as needed
Manage daily distribution, return, and troubleshooting of 50/50 mobile devices
Maintain accurate sales records and oversee cash reconciliation at shift and day end
Assist with staff sign-in/out and time tracking
Support opening and closing duties and maintain clean, presentable selling locations
Address guest questions, concerns, and complaints
Perform other duties as assigned

Special Conditions

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to lift boxes/items up to 25 lbs
Required to dress in appropriate uniform
