The Opportunity
Reporting to and working closely with the CAEC Administrator, the Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) Testing Centre Supervisor oversees testing across Ontario. This role implements a problem-free testing process by carefully organizing daily operations, reviewing and approving accommodations, and supervising a team who provide efficient and excellent services.
How you will make an impact
- Assist the CAEC Administrator with the supervision of the CAEC testing centre operations, activities, and other duties as assigned.
- Supervise the recruitment, selection, approval, training, and performance management of examiners and proctors, who provide services in both English and French
- Ensure accessibility to CAEC tests through promotion and communication with adult educators, workforce development/labour, corrections, and other instructional adult education pathway programs.
- Review, approve, and implement adult Candidate requests for accommodations.
- Ensure the charges to purchase the tests are paid.
- Create and approve personalized assessment plans and documentation for students with approved special accommodations. Implement accommodation plan, such as seeking spaces and support staff as required. Facilitate and oversee all off-site and group assessments, ensuring Examiner and Proctor supervision.
- Verify assessment results for accuracy and oversee all academic records. Oversee the preparation, distribution, and tracking transcripts, certificates, assessment materials and answer sheets.
- Support the CAEC Administrator in annual negotiations for rooms and rates for testing centers
- Manage annual agreements and amendments for instructors, proctors, and testing locations. Develop and modify assessment schedules for instructors, proctors, and testing locations.
What you will bring to TVO
- University degree in Education (B.Ed. or M.Ed.).
- Three years experience in high school and/or adult education.
- Proven leadership experience, as a team leader or supervisor.
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service practices, cultural sensitivity, equity awareness, good judgement, tact and diplomacy when dealing with the external and internal parties.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and a proven ability to handle competing priorities and work efficiently and effectively under time constraints.
- Self-motivated, conscientious, and able to work comfortably, efficiently and effectively as part of a team or independently.
