Position Summary
Manager, Project Delivery – Clinical
NYG is embarking on the largest capital expansion in its history. A New Patient Care Tower (NPCT) will be constructed on the 4001 Leslie Street site, expanding the existing hospital. The NPCT will be delivered through an Alliance model – the first healthcare alliance in Ontario - in which NYG works as a single integrated team with its design, construction, and technical partners. This collaborative approach requires strong leadership to ensure the hospital’s priorities are consistently reflected while advancing solutions that support best-for-project outcomes.
The Manager, Project Delivery - Clinical provides leadership to ensure clinical and operational requirements are effectively integrated into the planning, design, and delivery of major capital projects. As the Clinical Planning Lead, the role translates clinical workflows, functional program needs, and models of care into design direction that supports patient/resident safety, efficiency, and quality outcomes. The position leads stakeholder engagement, design validation, and clinical readiness planning to ensure alignment across multidisciplinary teams. It also supports coordinated decision-making and transition planning to enable a safe and effective activation of the new facility.

- Lead operational planning and workflow mapping for support services including EVS, logistics, food services, portering, waste, linen, and patient transport.
- Ensure clinical and non-clinical requirements are incorporated into room layouts, staffing assumptions, SOP development, and transition planning and operational readiness.
- Lead structured engagement with clinical programs, physician leaders, nursing, allied health, and support service, project teams, and other required stakeholders
- Facilitate user group meetings, design review workshops, workflow mapping sessions, and clinical validation activities.
- Document clinical requirements, decisions, and outstanding issues, ensuring timely escalation when required.
- Support clinical, operational and executive leadership with briefing materials, recommendations and decision records for key decisions and approvals.
- Coordinate clinical reviews of mock-ups, simulations, usability testing, and in-progress design work.
- Facilitate multidisciplinary evaluation of proposed layouts, equipment configurations, adjacencies, and staffing models.
- Ensure consistent documentation and traceability of decisions across departments.
- Collaborate with operational readiness, facilities, ICAT, equipment planning, and education teams to develop clinical transition plans.
- Support Day One readiness activities including workflow testing, equipment commissioning, orientation, and clinical activation exercises.
- Contribute to structured project management processes within the Alliance, including issue tracking, risk reviews, schedule coordination, and integrated planning activities.
- Participate in the preparation of governance materials for the Alliance and for NYGH internal committees.
- Maintain clear, organized documentation and ensure communication pathways support timely decision making across the project.
