Studio Overview
Little Blackstone Studios is an Emmy-nominated and Oscar Shortlisted animation studio that has been producing award worthy animation since 2009.

Proudly boasting a reputation for contemporary design - dedicated to originality and creativity, bringing our unique approach to original series & films, in design, development, and production. At Little Blackstone, we take an artist-first approach to every production, creating a diverse and exciting environment to tell the best stories by humans, for humans.

The Role

We are looking for 2D junior animators with experience working on animated series , or films, to join the team for our newest show. The show is a brand new original adult animated comedy series, which deals with the always relatable themes of growing up and finding your place in the world, but told from an incredibly wacky and zany perspective.

Key Responsibilities

This role requires skilled individuals with a good understanding of 2D rigged animation.
Ability to draw additional components onto a rig is an asset.
Ability to contribute their creative vision, all the while maintaining the overall quality, style, and consistency of the animation.
Collaborate with the supervisor and fellow artists to understand and push the humour of the show through acting and strong posing.
Ability to apply feedback throughout the animation production process.
Collaborate with the director and supervisor to translate the storyboards' beats into animation.
Adhere to the production guidelines regarding file types and sizes.

Key Requirements

Experience working with 2D rigs and a good track record of successful project delivery.
Strong grasp of Toon Boom Harmony.
In-depth knowledge of posing and acting, with the ability to effectively translate the director's vision into compelling animated sequences.
Strong understanding of storytelling and narrative structure, with the ability to visually convey mood, gag, and emotion through animation.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work within designated timeframes. Strong time-management skills.
