Position Purpose
The Project Scheduling Specialist provides specialized project controls and scheduling expertise across complex capital infrastructure projects. This role contributes to the successful delivery of projects by administering schedule management frameworks, maintaining integrated program schedules, conducting schedule review and assessments, and providing guidance to project teams throughout planning, procurement, and construction activities. The role supports projects delivered under a range of delivery models, including P3 and non-P3 approaches, and contributes to cross-program schedule alignment across a multi-billion-dollar capital portfolio
What You Will Do:
- Administer project planning and scheduling frameworks across a portfolio of capital projects. Develop, maintain, and evaluate project schedules, cost and resource assignment, basis of the schedule reports, and perform critical path analyses.
- Review schedule performance, identify risks and delays, and provide recommendations to address schedule impacts.
- Review and evaluate Design/Construction schedule baseline, update schedule, recovery schedules, schedule narratives, and monthly progress reports. Analyze submissions for accuracy, logic integrity, and compliance with contract requirements.
- Support procurement activities, including development of the scheduling requirements for RFQ, RFP and PA, evaluation of schedule submissions and perform compliance check according to the scheduling requirements during tender evaluation.
- Coordinate the collection, validation, and reporting of project schedule information.
- Conduct detailed examination and interpretation of project schedules, change impacts, and schedule claims.
- Familiar with Oracle Primavera P6 administration activities, including management of the enterprise settings, user access and security profiles, enterprise project structures, calendars, activity codes, and global data.
- Perform schedule delay analysis and forensic schedule evaluations to support the assessment of claims, changes, and disputes.
- Contribute schedule risk management activities and quantitative schedule risk assessments.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, advisors, contractors, and key partners to promote consistency in scheduling practices.
- Support cross-contract and cross-program schedule alignment by coordinating with delivery teams and Project Controls to review key dependencies and align milestone assumptions.
- Implement process optimization and quality management initiatives related to project controls and scheduling.
- Deliver training, guidance, and knowledge-sharing activities to project teams and scheduling practitioners.
- Contribute to enterprise-wide improvements in scheduling standards, methodologies, and reporting practices.
Who You Are:
You bring a combination of relevant professional learning and significant experience developed through project scheduling, project controls, construction planning, infrastructure delivery, risk management, or related disciplines.
You also bring:
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in project planning and scheduling, ideally gained on large-scale capital infrastructure or construction projects, including schedule development, maintenance, review, analysis, and reporting across the full project lifecycle from procurement through design, construction and close-out.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6 and comparable scheduling platforms.
- Experience preparing and maintaining critical path schedules, logic networks, and project schedule reports.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management concepts and application into the project schedule.
- Experience conducting detailed examinations and interpretations of schedule performance, change impacts, and project risks.
- Experience with various project delivery methods, including multiple Public-Private Partnership (P3) models as well as non-P3 approaches such as Progressive, Alliance, and Construction Management (CM) delivery methods.
- Knowledge of schedule risk analysis and quantitative risk assessment methodologies.
- Experienced in schedule delay analysis and forensic schedule evaluation methodologies.
- Experience reviewing and evaluating schedule submittals and reports, including tender evaluation and monthly report analysis.
- Knowledge of contract schedule requirements and industry best practices, such as AACE International Recommended Practices.
- Construction knowledge and a solid understanding of constructability fundamentals.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and quality management capabilities.
- Relevant professional learning in project management, scheduling, project controls, construction management, infrastructure delivery, risk management, or related disciplines.
- PMI (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP) and/or AACE (e.g., PSP, CCP) certifications are considered assets.

We offer a competitive salary range of $99,500 - $116,100 (PM2 level), pay will align with skills, knowledge and experience of the candidate.
