Overview

Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier/Supervisor, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while overseeing daily store operations. This energetic position combines hands-on cashiering responsibilities with leadership duties to motivate and manage staff, ensure smooth sales processes, and maintain an inviting shopping environment. As a key team member, you will foster a positive store atmosphere, drive sales, and uphold high standards of organization and efficiency. Your enthusiasm and leadership will help create memorable shopping experiences for our customers and support the overall success of the store.

Duties

Greet customers warmly, assist with product inquiries, and provide outstanding service to enhance their shopping experience
Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions including sales, returns, exchanges, and payments
Manage cash handling procedures with precision, including balancing registers at shift end and reconciling discrepancies
Supervise daily store activities, including merchandising, pricing updates, and inventory management to maximize sales potential
Lead and motivate team members through effective training & development, ensuring excellent customer service standards are met
Oversee scheduling, delegating tasks efficiently to ensure smooth store operations during your shift
Handle customer complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels
Assist with recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates and participating in onboarding new staff members
Monitor sales performance and implement marketing strategies to boost store visibility and revenue
Maintain organized records of sales transactions, payroll data, bookkeeping entries, and administrative documentation

Requirements

Proven supervising experience in retail or customer service environments with strong leadership skills
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively
Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills for accurate transactions
Excellent communication skills paired with phone etiquette to engage confidently with customers and team members
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Experience in retail management including merchandising, pricing strategies, and sales management
Knowledge of recruiting techniques along with training & development practices for staff growth
Familiarity with payroll processing, budgeting, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks is preferred
Ability to manage time effectively while maintaining attention to detail in all responsibilities
Multilingual capabilities are a plus for engaging a broader customer base
