What You’ll Be Doing
As the Private Wealth Senior Learning Strategy Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the professional development and onboarding experience for our Private Wealth teams. You will lead the initiation, execution, and facilitation of dynamic Advisory Programs, providing personalized coaching and guidance to participants. Collaborating with Private Banking, Wood Gundy, CIBC Private Investment Counsel, Wealth Planning, and Insurance, Trust & Estate Planning teams, you will ensure new hires are equipped for success and continuously enhance the skills of Advisors, Associates, Assistants, and other team members to drive effectiveness and efficiency. In addition, you will manage and facilitate training initiatives tailored to business needs , support conferences and training requests, and partner with other teams to deliver impactful learning solutions across Private Wealth .
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $92,490 to $127,200.
The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.
In addition to base pay, compensation for this role includes participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program.

How You’ll Succeed
Drive Leadership Excellence: Deliver national onboarding training program s aligning to business priorities for Private Wealth teams - including Wealth Advisors, Associates, and other key roles to deepen client relationships and expand market share across Canada. You will be responsible for the efficient implementation evaluation, ongoing enhancement, and maintenance of Advisory Programs, adapting to evolving business needs and regulatory changes.
Empower Learners Through Facilitation and Coaching: Provide personalized support to program participants and their leaders, guiding them through program expectations, learning curricula, progress tracking, and targeted coaching. Deliver training in various formats including in-person, virtual, and synchronous sessions to meet the needs of new and experienced team members. Continuously identify and implement opportunities for program innovation and improvement, staying ahead of industry and regulatory developments to ensure learning solutions remain relevant and effective.
Collaborate on Strategic Initiatives and Cross-Functional Projects: Leverage your expertise in training program management to lead and participate in firm-wide strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects. Work closely with Practice Management and Training & Development teams to develop and deliver innovative content, emphasizing your ability to prioritize and execute both strategic and operational objectives.
Demonstrate Business Acumen: Operate with a high degree of independence to identify priorities, address policy and program customization, and manage complex projects involving internal and external partners. Build and nurture strong relationships within the organization , and stay current with industry trends, brokerage and retail segments, and the unique characteristics of the business. This role may require travel across Canada to support program delivery and stakeholder engagement.
Who You Are
You’re a certified professional. You hold an undergraduate degree in business, economics, or a related field along with the CFP, CIM, or CFA accreditation or have equivalent experience that demonstrates your depth of expertise; an MBA is an asset.
You bring deep industry insight. With 8 to 10 years of combined experience in Private Banking and Wealth Management, you have a comprehensive understanding of business issues, processes, and outcomes that shape Private Wealth Management and drive client success.
You are a champion of change and innovation. Your advanced facilitation and presentation skills enable you to lead learning initiatives, adapt to new challenges, and continuously improve your approach. You build strong relationships and networks, inspiring others and driving positive outcomes through your expertise and collaborative spirit.
