Full job description

Purpose:
Ancillary Services provides a wide range of professionally managed campus services and amenities to enhance the student experience and support York University's mission, vision and priorities. With a commitment to sustainability, equity, diversity and inclusion, Ancillary Services works with internal and external partners to provide exceptional experiences and enhance the quality of campus life in alignment with the University's core values.The Custodian - Evenings provides Custodial Services to the York Housing Community.

Education:
Successful applicant must obtain a W.H.M.I.S. certificate prior to the completion of the probationary period

Experience:
Not applicable

Skills:
Demonstrated ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English. Ability to operate and use custodial equipment such as: polishers, shampoo equipment, ladders, carts, hand trucks, wet and dry vacuum, scrubbing machines, waster compactor units, etc.

Additional Notes:
CURRENT FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME EMPLOYEES IN A CLASSIFICATION CONTAINING THE TERM 'CUSTODIAN' NEED ONLY SUBMIT AN INTERNAL APPLICATION FORM. ALL OTHER EMPLOYEES MUST SUBMIT A COMPLETE APPLICATION PACKAGE INCLUDING A RESUME, COVER LETTER AND INTERNAL APPLICATION FORM.
