Real Estate Law Clerk

Mazzeo Law is a boutique law firm located in Vaughan, ON, voted Top Choice Real Estate Law Firm in 2022-2026, and recognized by Best Lawyers in 2022. Our areas of expertise are focused mostly in helping the community resolve their legal issues which often encompasses Family Law, Real Estate Law, Corporate and/or Will and Estate Law.

We are currently seeking a confident and hands on Law Clerk that is able to apply their strong real estate background to the overall carriage of the Partner’s files. The Partner’s files consist of Real Estate, Corporate Law and Wills & Estate files, with a primary focus in Real Estate. The successful candidate will have:

The candidate must have experience with residential purchases (including condominium units), residential sales, mortgage refinancing, and private lending transactions. Experience with commercial transactions an asset;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening);
Able to handle multiple assignments, work well under pressure, and have the flexibility to assist the team in meeting client demands on accelerated schedules;

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Law clerk diploma or certification from an Ontario Accredited Law Clerk Program;
Able to work independently on real estate transactions from file opening to the reporting stage;
Strong knowledge of Unity, Teraview, Teranet, Word and accounting software such as PC Law and Cosmolex;
Independent and diligent work ethic;
Desire to grow and learn;
Detail-oriented and organized;
Able to work in fast paced and busy environment;
Strong communications skills;
Ability to communicate with clients, law clerks, lenders, real estate brokers and agents, mortgage brokers and agents and municipalities;
Able to meet deadlines;
Knowledge of legal procedures, legislation, statutes and governmental practices; and
Superior customer/client service skills.
