Full job description

Penetration Tester Intern

PlutoSec is looking for a motivated and passionate individual interested in penetration testing, ethical hacking, and offensive security.

This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates or individuals looking to gain real-world cybersecurity exposure while working closely with senior leadership and active client environments.

Responsibilities may include:

Assisting with Web Application & Network Penetration Testing
Vulnerability Assessments & Security Research
Technical Documentation & Report Writing
Participating in client meetings and technical discussions
Working closely with the CTO on ongoing security projects and engagements

Requirements:

Recently graduated (or graduating) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field
Basic understanding of penetration testing methodologies and security concepts
Familiarity with tools such as Burp Suite, Nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit, etc.
Basic understanding of vulnerability assessment and report writing
Good communication skills and willingness to learn

Please note: this is currently a performance-based internship opportunity intended for individuals seeking industry exposure, mentorship, and hands-on cybersecurity experience with long-term growth potential.

Remote opportunity available.

Job Types: Full-time, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $69,412.76-$75,001.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Etobicoke, ON (Peel District)
