About Strength-N-U

Strength-N-U Fitness & Therapy is an integrated fitness, wellness, and therapy facility serving the Greater Toronto Area since 2011.

Our group fitness instructors, personal trainers, and therapy professionals work collaboratively to help clients improve their strength, mobility, confidence, and overall health.

We are looking for an experienced, energetic, and dependable Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer to join our Mississauga team.

The Opportunity

The primary focus of this position will be leading high-quality group fitness classes.

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to build and manage a personal training clientele.

This role is ideal for a coach who is confident leading a room, brings positive energy, connects well with people, and can safely coach participants of different ages, abilities, and fitness levels.

Compensation

$35–$50 per hour/session, based on experience, certifications, availability, and responsibilities
Opportunity to earn additional income by building a personal training clientele

What You’ll Do

Group Fitness:

Lead structured, energetic, and inclusive group fitness classes
Demonstrate exercises and provide clear coaching instructions
Provide modifications and progressions for different fitness levels
Monitor participants for proper form, effort, and safety
Manage class timing, transitions, equipment, and overall flow
Create a welcoming environment that keeps members engaged and motivated
Follow Strength-N-U class formats, programming, and coaching standards
Support class attendance and member retention by delivering a consistent and memorable experience

Personal Training:

Conduct consultations, fitness assessments, and movement assessments
Develop individualized training programs based on each client’s goals, abilities, and limitations
Coach clients on proper form, technique, and safe movement
Provide appropriate exercise progressions and modifications
Track workouts, attendance, and progress using Trainerize
Keep clients accountable through regular communication and support
Refer clients to our nutrition or therapy professionals when appropriate
Collaborate with our therapy team to support client progress

Qualifications and Experience

Current nationally recognized Group Fitness or Personal Training certification
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Previous experience leading group fitness classes
Minimum of three years of in-person personal training experience preferred
Strong knowledge of exercise programming, proper technique, and movement quality
Confidence coaching individuals and groups of different fitness levels
Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and time-management skills
Great taste in music and the ability to create high-energy playlists that match the class format and atmosphere
Professional, dependable, coachable, and team-oriented
Proficient computer skills, including the use of email, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Mindbody, and Trainerize.
Comfortable appearing in occasional social media or educational content

Experience working alongside physiotherapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, or other rehabilitation professionals is considered an asset.

Availability Requirements

Candidates must have consistent availability during a combination of the following hours:

Weekday mornings between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM
Weekday evenings between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM
Saturday mornings

Applicants do not need to be available for every listed hour, but consistent morning, evening, and Saturday availability is strongly preferred.
