About the Role
This is not a traditional developer role. It is also not a greenfield AI playground.
We have a real platform in production. Navigate (our WMS / OMS), Ali (our AI logistics agent), and the internal tooling that runs 20+ facilities across North America are all built on Java Spring Boot. You are extending and scaling that platform, not starting from zero.
You will use AI everywhere. Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, whatever ships the fastest. We are not hiring developers who write every line of code by hand. We are hiring engineers who orchestrate AI to ship 10x faster than traditional teams, inside a real, production-grade Spring Boot codebase.
This is a Forward Deployed Engineer seat. You sit close to customers and operations. You take messy real-world logistics problems and turn them into shipped product. You work directly with founders, sales, ops, and customers to identify what to build and then you build it.
If you love writing code in a vacuum and waiting for tickets, this is not the role.

What You Will Build
- New features inside our existing Java Spring Boot platform
- Scalable web applications using Angular and modern JavaScript frameworks
- RESTful APIs and third-party integrations (carriers, marketplaces, Amazon, WMS partners)
- AI-powered automation across logistics workflows (freight, fulfillment, parcel, prep)
- Internal tools that operators use every day
- Customer-facing platforms that drive revenue
- Data validation, reconciliation, and analytics systems
How You Will Build
- Work inside our production Spring Boot codebase from Day 1
- Use AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, etc.) as your primary force multiplier. We expect AI in your workflow daily, not occasionally.
- Convert messy business and operational problems into shipped product
- Ship fast, iterate fast, talk to users
- Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and Linux environments
- Work in Agile/Scrum with Git, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines
- Document everything (workflows, architecture, decisions)
- Coordinate with IT, vendors, and support teams to resolve issues
- Provide technical support and training to non-technical teams
What You Will Need
These are hard requirements. If you do not have these, do not apply.
- Deep, production experience with Java Spring Boot. Our platform is built on it. You must be able to read, extend, refactor, and ship inside a real Spring Boot codebase on Day 1. This is non-negotiable.
- You actively use AI coding tools every day and have shipped real product with them. Also non-negotiable.
- Proven full-stack experience with Angular and modern JavaScript frameworks
- Deep understanding of REST API design and system integrations
- Hands-on AWS experience and deployment pipelines
- Strong SQL with MySQL and the ability to write complex queries
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Familiarity with JIRA, Agile/Scrum, and RBAC security principles
- Excel and data analysis skills for reconciliation and reporting
- Logistics or eCommerce domain experience strongly preferred

Pay: $60,088.87-$129,629.35 per year
