Full job description

Fundraiser - Start This Week - $19/hr Guaranteed - Full-Time Preferred - Greater Toronto Area, ON

We’re hiring fundraisers in the GTA to represent some of the world’s most recognized nonprofit organizations.

Our teams raise funds through face-to-face outreach, including street canvassing, mall locations, and door-to-door fundraising across Toronto and surrounding communities.

No experience is required - we’re looking for outgoing people who enjoy talking with others, building connections, and supporting meaningful causes.

If you’re looking for work you can start quickly, earn guaranteed hourly pay, and develop valuable communication and leadership skills, this could be a great fit.

This role is ideal for people interested in nonprofits, fundraising, advocacy, community outreach, public engagement, marketing, activism, or other people-focused work.

Pay & Benefits

$19/hour guaranteed to start (not commission)
$20/hour after training and evaluation
Leadership progression: $25-$28/hour, depending on experience
Regular pay reviews and performance-based raises
Paid training from day one

Public Outreach strongly believes in promoting from within, with many members of our leadership team starting their careers in the fundraising role. Candidates with previous fundraising leadership experience may have faster progression into management responsibilities.

Schedule
This role works best for candidates looking for consistent full-time work, and full-time availability is strongly preferred.

Team members must be able to commit to:

At least 4 full shifts per week (minimum 32 hours per week)

Shifts take place across street, mall, and residential fundraising locations throughout Toronto.

Outgoing and comfortable speaking with new people
Strong communicators who enjoy social interaction
Passionate about humanitarian, environmental, or social justice causes
Positive, reliable, and team-oriented
Comfortable working outdoors and on their feet

Experience in fundraising, sales, customer service, hospitality, retail, advocacy, activism, volunteering, education, or other public-facing roles is helpful - but not required.
