As a General Accountant , you will perform activities that support the Accounts Payable, General Cashier, and General Accounting functions within the Finance department by participating in the development and processes of accurate reports and account management. This position is to fill an existing vacancy.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

Perform Accounts Payable, General Cashier and General Accounting functions: Execute tasks and ensure accuracy of all related processes.
Address questions and disputes: Manage and respond to inquiries and disputes. Partner with internal and external parties to resolve disputes promptly.
Participate in financial reporting: Assist with the production of monthly accounts, month-end responsibilities, and internal controls over financial revenues, expenses, assets and liabilities.
Assist with financial communication: Assist with financial results and aid in understanding financial matters for both internal and external stakeholders as required.
Collaborate for success: Build and maintain cooperative relationships with other finance and departments across the hotel and company.

The General Accountant should have the following qualifications:

Previous experience in a high-volume Accounts function, preferably within hotel environment
Exceptional skills in time management, prioritization and organization
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication
High-level of accuracy and attention to detail
Advanced Excel and systems experience
Degree in Accounting or related business discipline considered an asset
