What you bring to the table

Architectural Technologist / Interior Designer

Minimum three (3) years of experience working in an architectural firm preferably retail, commercial and food services preparing and coordinating construction drawings and documents
Graduate of an Architectural, Architectural Technology or Interior Design program at a recognized post-secondary school
Knowledge of construction methodology, building assemblies, building science, materials application and interpretation of manufacturers' requirements.
Ability to interpret and coordinate work of consultant disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical and electrical
Knowledge of the Ontario / National Building Code
Knowledge in Zoning bylaws research and application
Experience in site planning and layout design
Understanding of the municipal approval process for both planning and building
High level of proficiency in AutoCAD
Excellent oral and written skills
Ability to work efficiently and with accuracy as part of both a collaborative team and individually

Duties & responsibilities

Preparation of a full set of architectural working drawings
Coordination of arch dwgs with consultants including civil, structural, mechanical and electrical
Preparing site plans and building working drawings and communicate with the municipal planning/building department for application process and address comments
Review shop drawings
Taking on a multiple projects at the same time, and being able to meet deadline effectively
