Purchasing & Product Support Administrator

Full-Time | In-Person | Toronto, ON

About the Role

Marble Trend is seeking an organized, detail-oriented and numerically strong individual to join our team as a Purchasing & Product Support Administrator.
This is a junior to intermediate-level position primarily supporting our Purchasing team, while also assisting Sales, Marketing and other areas of the business.
This is not a Buyer or senior purchasing position. We are looking for someone with strong fundamental skills, initiative and a willingness to learn and grow into the role. Training will be provided on our products, systems and costing procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Purchasing team with vendor communication, product research and day-to-day administrative requirements.
Communicate with existing and potential vendors to gather pricing, product information, specifications, samples and supporting documentation.
Assist with preliminary and budgetary costing of imported products, including cost of goods, freight, duties, taxes and currency conversion.
Assist with selling-price calculations and prepare product and costing information for internal review.
Coordinate, receive, log and organize product samples and maintain accurate records for future reference.
Support the evaluation and introduction of new products by organizing vendor information, samples, costing and product documentation.
Assist internal and external Sales Associates with pricing, samples, specifications and other product-related requests.
Organize and maintain supplier-provided digital product information, including images, specifications, catalogues and technical documentation.
Assist with co-branding/rebranding supplier materials and uploading product information to company document systems and website.
Conduct preliminary lead generation, including researching potential customers, introductory email outreach and, as experience develops, introductory presentations through Microsoft Teams.
Assist with Lunch & Learns, customer presentations and events held at our showroom or off-site.
Support showroom events involving architects, designers, customers and key vendor partners, including preparation, materials, samples and event coordination.
What We're Looking For
Strong mathematical and numerical skills are essential.
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
Comfortable working with percentages, costing, pricing and spreadsheets.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software and systems.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable communicating with vendors, customers and internal team members.
Resourceful, dependable and able to manage multiple priorities.
Previous experience in administration, purchasing support, sales support or product coordination is an asset, but not required.
Experience with imported products, Zoho, CRM or content management systems is an asset, but not required.
Bilingual English/French is considered a strong asset. Knowledge of Italian is also an asset.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time, in-person position at Marble Trend's Toronto head office and showroom.
Monday through Friday (8:00am to 5:00pm), plus a half-day every other Saturday. Availability for the alternating Saturday schedule is required.
