Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced setting and enjoy working with people.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, processing transactions accurately.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders, and offering recommendations.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service delivery.
Handle cashiering duties, including cash handling and balancing the register at the end of shifts.
Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and support each other in daily tasks.

Experience

Previous experience in the food service or coffee industry is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with POS systems is beneficial for efficient transaction processing.
Strong basic math skills are essential for handling cash and managing transactions accurately.
Experience in food handling practices is an advantage to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Excellent time management skills are necessary to handle multiple tasks effectively during peak hours.
A friendly demeanor and willingness to help customers are crucial for creating a welcoming atmosphere.
