Course Description:
Together with MGAB02H3, this course provides a rigorous introduction to accounting techniques and to the principles and concepts underlying these techniques.The preparation of financial statements is addressed from the point of view of both preparers and users of financial information

Qualifications:
Minimum: CPA, CA designation; demonstrated teaching excellence, currency in and mastery of subject area in financial accounting; previous experience in teaching a similar course at undergraduate (university) level or similar environment; several years related professional experience.

Duties:
All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration, and marking of assignments, tests, and exams; calculation and submission of grades, holding regular office hours, and maintaining reasonable availability for student and administrative contact, supervision of T.A. assigned to the course.

Salary for a half-course (0.50 FCEs) inclusive of vacation pay: The Sessional Lecturer I rate of pay will be $9,997.48. Sessional Lecturer I-Long Term rate of pay will be $10,699.22. Sessional Lecturer II rate of pay will be $10,699.22. Sessional Lecturer II-Long Term rate of pay will be $10,953.96. Sessional Lecturer III rate of pay will be $10,953.96. Sessional Lecturer III-Long Term rate of pay will be $11,228.90.
