Full job description

Paese Ristorante is looking for a Line Cook to join our team!

Location: 3829 Bathurst St, North York, Ontario

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

Maintain a positive attitude when working with the full kitchen team
Contribute to producing quality food products by learning and working on all stations, salads, pizza, pasta and grill.
Having ownership and accountability for food preparation and production to ensure that it is executed according to the standards set by the chef
Ensure consistency of product for all guests by way of portion control standards set by the chef
Maintain proper food storage i.e. FIFO rotation of products, labeling, dating, etc.
Follow safe food handling techniques and ensure a clean and organized station

Skills/Qualifications:

2-3 years in a similar position
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong sense of urgency
Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multitask and prioritize duties
Operate large volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep fryers + mixers
Possesses strong organizational skills
Food Handler’s Certification (preferred but not required)
