Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Production Assistant to join our team in Scarborough, ON. As a Pharmacy Production Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacists and registered technicians in packaging medications and maintaining efficient pharmacy operations. If you have a passion for patient care, strong organizational skills, and meet our qualifications, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

Ensure medications are stored in the correct spaces according to pharmacy guidelines.
Regularly check and manage expiry dates on medication bottles from the shelf.
Clean and maintain production machines on a regular basis.
Thoroughly verify the DIN number for all medications.
Efficiently fill canisters with the correct products.
Maintain a high level of accuracy while performing STS.
Detect and correct errors effectively before medications reach the patient.
Check packaged medications for accuracy and correct any errors found.
Package medications accurately and efficiently.
Follow all safety protocols to ensure a clean and organized work environment..
Check Med Pouches for any errors, broken tabs, etc.
Work with medication packaging machines (PacMed and Synmed).

Qualification:

Keen attention to detail.
Pharmaceutical or medical background is an asset.
Ability to distinguish between shape, color, and size.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Ability to stay focused and keep busy with minimal supervision.
Problem-solving skills, flexible attitude, resourceful, and effective in making decisions.
Strong communication skills.
Proficient with computers.
Weekend availability is a must.
