Full job description

Key Responsibilities:

Greet every guest that walks in our doors with a positive attitude
Provide excellent customer service during dining experience
Ensure opening, midday and closing duties are completed
Comfortable adapting to changes in service
Efficiently provide high customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment
Adhere to Steam Whistle’s service standards and policies
Follow all Steam Whistle’s Health and Safety policies and procedures

You will be offered approximately 4-5 shifts per week, that includes evenings and weekends. This is a seasonal position for the busy summer period.
The hourly rate is $17.60 per hour plus a tip-out program

Experience and Qualifications:

Two years of serving and/or bartending experience
Solid understanding and practical knowledge of restaurant business principles and service etiquette
Able to work in a team environment
Experience memorizing menu details and allergens
General knowledge of food, wine and beer
Competent with POS systems (Point of Sales)
Familiar with restaurant booking software’s
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in a team environment and in customer service
Proven to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple priorities
Smart Serve Certification required
Cicerone or Prud’homme Certificate is an asset
