Looking for a new and exciting job opportunity? We are looking for a Senior Planner and Scheduler to join our team.
- Lead planning and scheduling activities for complex capital projects to ensure successful, on-time delivery
- Facilitate and lead planning sessions and workshops (including pull planning) with project teams and stakeholders
- Attending internal and external integration and interface meetings to manage the projects effectively
- Developing Program Management and Interface Milestone Schedules
- Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to align schedules, risks, costs, and priorities
- Monitor project performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations to mitigate risks and improve outcomes
- Evaluate schedule impacts (e.g., changes, risks, delays) and perform critical path and trend analyses
- Review contractor schedules and progress to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with project requirements
- Prepare dashboards, executive reports, and data-driven insights to support decision-making
- Drive continuous improvement of planning processes, tools, and systems while fostering a high-performance team environment
- Assess and manage corporate risk
- Communicate in a variety of mediums
- Counsel, advise, and coach in the relevant discipline
- Demonstrate appropriate and effective interpersonal communications through various media
- Demonstrate knowledge of the industry and / or sector

- Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related technical or business discipline (e.g. civil, electrical or mechanical engineering, project management), and progressive experience in planning and scheduling and/or project management; or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience related to planning and scheduling through the end-to-end project lifecycle, from project initiation, planning, executing, controlling, monitoring to closing; good understanding of integration between project functions
- Sound understanding of basic engineering and construction methodologies; ability to read construction drawings and specifications
- Mastery of planning and scheduling principles and methods, and gate processes; full project lifecycle experience
- Demonstrated experience with all aspects of the Master Project Schedule (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning Schedules) in addition to cost control and project controls in a construction environment.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing design & construction schedules in the early stages of the projects
- Demonstrated experience in different delivery models other than Design-Bid-Build (Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, Construction Manager at Risk etc.)
- Effective communication, influencing skills, and maintaining collaborative work relationships
- Demonstrated experience with time impact analysis, what-if scenarios, and recovery schedules
- Experience working on large projects as well as multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Excellent project reporting skills, including analyzing schedules, variance analysis, project performance measurements, explaining the key performance indicators, creating dashboard and other project reports
- Leadership skills including goal-setting, performance management, employee development and coaching
- Ability to review and evaluate recommendations proposed by others, exercising independent judgment to ensure consistency with business goals
- Strong time management; ability to prioritize and balance competing demands in a deadline driven environment
- Well-developed organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills for managing large datasets
- Proficient in software applications relevant to the role, including Primavera 6 and Microsoft Office (MS Project, Word, Excel - pivot tables, functions, charts), as well as Access and SharePoint.
