Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, sushi making, and food safety, with experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that delight our guests, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi dishes with precision and artistry
Handle food preparation tasks including slicing fish, preparing rice, and assembling ingredients
Cook and serve other Japanese dishes as needed, ensuring consistency and quality
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
Ensure all ingredients are stored properly and inventory is managed efficiently
Serve customers with professionalism, providing excellent food service and answering any questions about menu items
Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy hours

Qualifications

Proven experience in sushi preparation and Japanese cuisine in a restaurant setting
Strong skills in food handling, cooking techniques, and meal preparation
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
