Full job description

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time reliable and customer-focused Food Service Worker / Kitchen Helper to join a busy food service operation. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing excellent customer service, and supporting daily kitchen and dining operations.
You will assist with food preparation, dishwashing, cleanliness, and customer service while helping maintain a safe and organized work environment. If you enjoy working with people, thrive in a busy environment, and are passionate about delivering excellent service, we want to hear from you.

Pay Rate: $ 17.60/hour
Location: Trenton, ON

Responsibilities:

Clean dishes, trays, utensils, and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashers
Remove and organize clean dishes from dishwashing stations
Inspect dishes, utensils, and equipment to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met
Wash pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment by hand as required
Assist cooks with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables
Serve customers at food service and deli counters
Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
Replenish utensils, condiments, beverages, and service stations throughout the shift
Ensure fountain drink stations remain stocked and clean
Collect garbage and transport waste to designated disposal areas
Clean dining and service areas, including wiping tables and maintaining overall cleanliness
Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures
Support kitchen and dining room operations as required

Qualifications and Skills:

Previous food service, cafeteria, restaurant, hospitality, or kitchen experience is an asset
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable performing physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting as required
Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety
Reliable, punctual, and dependable
Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
