The Learning Circle Childcare Centres is a mixed early education provider committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment that supports the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of our students from ages 12 months to 12 years. We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Educator to manage the daily operations of the Infant Toddler 1-3 Program. Additionally, we have a fantastic opportunity for an Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at our Abbotsford Campus! We are looking for a dependable, enthusiastic, and warm-hearted person who is passionate about working with children.

ITE Educator for our Foundations 2 - Foundations 2 - Explorers Class (Infant Toddler Class) at The Learning Circle, you will oversee the daily operations of the classroom for children aged 1-3, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment that fosters the growth and development of young children. You will work collaboratively with other team members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Job Title: Infant Toddler Classroom Teacher

Full/Part Time: Full Time

Regular/Temporary: Regular

Hours: Varies within the hours of 7:30 am and 5:30 pm

Wage: Ranges between $23 per hour - $24 per hour dependent on certification and experience; Please note that this range is EXCLUDING the $6 BC Wage Enhancement which will be received by candidates for each hour worked.

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the classroom.
Supervise and coordinate staff, trainees, and volunteers.
Assist in onboarding and training of new employees.
Knowledge of BC Daycare and Licensing regulations.
Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
Maintain daycare equipment, order supplies and equipment as required.
Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
Provide staff meetings and professional development opportunities for their team
Yoga experience or knowledge is an asset.
Knowledge of French, Spanish, and Sign Language is an asset.

Qualifications:

Valid BC Early Childhood Educator, Infant Toddler License
Valid Emergency Childcare First Aid certificate that meets the requirements of BC child care license regulations
1-3 years of experience as an Infant Toddler teacher
At least 3 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator
Managing staff & Computer skills is A MUST
Strong leadership skills
Passion for teaching children

Additionally, the following documents must be provided:

Criminal record check
Minimum of 2 work-related reference checks
Immunization records- if you are
COVID-19 vaccination-if you are
