About MET

MET Fine Printers is a Vancouver-based print and production company that has been turning ambitious ideas into exceptional physical experiences since 1977.

We work with some of North America’s leading brands, artists, designers and organizations, producing everything from commercial print and custom packaging to luxury books, merchandise and unique brand experiences.

We are known for taking on interesting projects, solving difficult production challenges and producing work that people remember.

We are growing our sales team and looking for an Inside Sales Representative who enjoys talking to people, finding opportunities and turning conversations into business.

The Role

This is not an order-taking customer service position.

You will be responsible for actively developing new business for MET through outbound prospecting, inbound lead follow-up and relationship building. You will work closely with our sales, estimating, project management and production teams to understand what a prospective client is trying to accomplish and connect them with the right solution.

You do not need to be a printing expert on day one. We can teach print. We are looking for someone who is comfortable selling, curious enough to learn, organized enough to follow through and motivated by results.

What You Will Do

Prospect for new business through phone, email, LinkedIn and other channels
Research and identify companies and contacts that would be a strong fit for MET
Respond to and qualify inbound sales opportunities
Build relationships with prospective clients and uncover upcoming projects
Introduce clients to MET’s commercial print, packaging, luxury book, merchandise and broader brand capabilities
Develop opportunities from initial conversation through quoting and close
Work with our estimating and production teams to develop solutions for client projects
Maintain an organized sales pipeline and accurate activity in our CRM
Follow up consistently on quotes, leads and opportunities
Re-engage dormant clients and identify new opportunities within existing accounts
Meet individual activity, pipeline and sales targets
Learn the technical side of print and become comfortable discussing materials, finishing, production methods and possibilities with clients

Who We Are Looking For

You are comfortable starting conversations with people you do not know and you understand that good sales comes from asking good questions, listening and following up.

Ideally, you bring:

1–3+ years of inside sales, business development, account management or other B2B sales experience
Confidence with outbound prospecting and cold outreach
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A track record of following through and keeping opportunities moving
Good organization and attention to detail
Experience working with a CRM or sales pipeline
Curiosity and a willingness to learn a technical and highly customized product
The ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a larger team
A positive, resilient approach to prospecting and rejection
Genuine interest in brands, design, marketing, print, packaging or creative work

Experience in printing, packaging, promotional products, marketing, advertising, design, hospitality, real estate or other creative industries is an asset, but print experience is not required.

Compensation

Base salary: $55,000–$65,000 per year, depending on experience
