Taper Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Taper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in drywall finishing and be proficient in applying tape and joint compound to create a smooth surface for painting. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople on-site.

Responsibilities

Apply tape and joint compound to drywall seams and corners to ensure a seamless finish.
Smooth out surfaces using various tools and techniques to achieve the desired texture.
Inspect finished work for quality and make necessary adjustments as needed.
Collaborate with carpenters, painters, and other construction professionals to complete projects on time.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
Read blueprints and project specifications to understand job requirements and scope of work.
Perform caulking tasks as required to seal gaps around windows, doors, and other fixtures.

Skills

Proficient in construction painting techniques.
Experience with drywall installation and finishing processes.
Strong maintenance person skills with the ability to perform various construction-related tasks.
Knowledge of caulking methods and materials.
Ability to read blueprints accurately for effective project execution.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
