Ven-Tech Subsea Inspections is actively seeking experienced, safety-focused, and highly motivated DCBC Unrestricted Surface Supplied Commercial Divers to join our growing team based in the Vancouver Mainland area of British Columbia.
This position is ideal for professional commercial divers who are passionate about safety, operational excellence, teamwork, and delivering high-quality underwater services throughout British Columbia’s marine, municipal, industrial, hydroelectric, infrastructure, and energy sectors.

We maintain a strong safety-first culture and are committed to full compliance with WorkSafeBC Part 24 Diving Operations, CSA Z275 Diving Standards, and all applicable provincial and federal regulations.
The successful candidate will work as part of a professional commercial diving team performing underwater inspections, construction support, maintenance, cleaning, repairs, and emergency response operations throughout British Columbia.
Responsibilities
- Perform surface supplied commercial diving operations throughout British Columbia
- Participate in underwater inspections, surveys, maintenance, repairs, and construction support activities
- Perform potable water reservoir cleaning and inspection operations
- Conduct underwater pipeline, intake, outfall, dam, and hydroelectric inspections
- Participate in contaminated water diving operations when required
- Maintain continuous compliance with WorkSafeBC Part 24 and CSA Z275 requirements
- Complete daily dive logs and operational documentation
- Participate in toolbox meetings, FLHAs, JSAs, and project safety briefings
- Inspect, maintain, and properly care for diving equipment
- Operate safely around vessels, cranes, hydraulic equipment, and marine construction equipment
- Maintain professional communication with supervisors, clients, and project personnel
- Support mobilization, demobilization, and project logistics activities
- Promote a positive safety culture and professional work environment at all times
Requirements
- Current/valid DCBC Unrestricted Surface Supplied Commercial Diver Certification
- Hold a valid Fit-to-Dive medical certificate with no restrictions
- Valid Occupational First Aid, CPR, and Oxygen Provider certification
- Dive Accident Management certification
- Strong understanding of WorkSafeBC Part 24 Diving Operations regulations
- Strong understanding of CSA Z275.2 and CSA Z275.4 standards
- Experience performing commercial diving operations in British Columbia
- Experience with surface supplied diving systems
- Ability to work safely in marine, industrial, municipal, and hydroelectric environments
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with clean abstract
- Ability to travel throughout British Columbia as required
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor environments year-round

- Marine Emergency Duties (MED)
- Small Vessel Operator Proficiency (SVOP)
- ROV Operations Experience
- Confined Space Certification
- Fall Protection Certification
- Rigging & Hoisting Certification
- TDG Certification
- Occupational First Aid Level 2 or Level 3
- NDT Inspection Experience
- Potable Water Diving Experience
- Hydroelectric Facility Experience
- Marine Construction Experience
- Pipeline Inspection Experience
- Underwater Welding or Burning Experience
Compensation
- Competitive compensation based on experience, certifications, and years in industry
- Wage range: $55.00 – $85.00 per hour
