About the Role
Perimeter Transportation is seeking an experienced, highly organized Dispatch & Support Coordinator to join our Operations team.
This is not simply a position answering phones or forwarding messages.
Our Dispatch & Support Coordinators are at the centre of the daily operation, scheduling and dispatching professional drivers, monitoring active trips, communicating with customers, responding to changing circumstances and helping ensure every trip is completed safely, professionally and according to plan.
The successful candidate will be someone who can think critically, solve problems, manage competing priorities and remain calm when plans change quickly.

What You'll Do
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate daily driver scheduling and assignments in accordance with advance allocations and operational direction.
- Prepare and distribute driver work tickets and trip instructions.
- Serve as a primary operational contact for drivers during daily operations.
- Monitor active trips, driver progress and vehicle activity.
- Monitor operations using Samsara and other fleet-management systems.
- Maintain accurate trip and operational information in Coach Manager.
- Respond to driver calls, emails, messages and operational questions.
- Communicate schedule changes, routing information, pickup changes and customer instructions.
- Assist with driver call-offs, late arrivals and immediate coverage requirements.
- Respond to traffic delays, road closures, weather, vehicle issues and other operational disruptions.
- Coordinate immediate breakdown response with Operations and Maintenance.
- Communicate with customers regarding active trips and time-sensitive operational details for upcoming trips.
- Support our Tour Company's seasonal morning operations from May through October.
- Review completed work tickets and trip information for accuracy and completeness.
- Gather missing trip documentation and information.
- Capture mileage, odometer and fuel information required for subsequent reporting.
- Maintain accurate Dispatch logs, operational records and handover notes.
- Provide routine administrative support directly related to dispatch and daily operations.
- Escalate safety, compliance, customer or operational issues when management involvement is required.
What We're Looking For

Experience That Would Be an Asset
Experience in any of the following would be particularly valuable:
- Motorcoach or charter bus operations
- Trucking, transit or passenger transportation
- Professional transportation dispatch
- Coach Manager or similar transportation-management software
- Samsaraor similar GPS/fleet-management technology
- Electronic driver logs and Hours of Service
- Commercial vehicles and transportation terminology
- Microsoft Office
- Working directly with professional commercial drivers

About Perimeter Transportation
Perimeter Transportation provides professional motorcoach and passenger transportation services throughout British Columbia and beyond.
Our operation runs seven days a week, 365 days a year, serving a diverse range of charter, tour and transportation clients.
This is an on-site operational position at our Richmond facility and requires flexibility to work within a seven-day transportation operation, including weekdays and/or weekends.

From scheduling the driver through successful completion of the trip, the Dispatch & Support Coordinator helps keep the driver, vehicle, customer and company connected.
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
