About Chu Chu Chinatown
We are an art retail store that sells handmade work by local artists plus donated art supplies. There is a teaching studio in the back that offers pottery and art workshops and our in-house artists have their own studio spaces in the back.
Our art supplies are donated by the community and the proceeds help fund free senior art programs at three different senior centres that we sponsor. We also mentor up and coming artists and provide intern opportunies to learn how to run a studio, make products to sell, attend art markets, marketing strategies, teach workshops and more.
Our primary goal is to build community through art in the neighbourhood. We have a great small team of fun, positive and supportive creatives that lift each other up and help create an inclusive space.
