La Grotta Del Formaggio has been a family-run Italian deli and specialty grocery store since 1979. We are proud to bring authentic Italian food, exceptional customer service, and freshly made panini to our communities through our locations in Vancouver and Burnaby Heights.

Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Sandwich Maker / Deli Clerk to join our team at our Burnaby Heights location. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have a passion for food, and take pride in providing outstanding customer service, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve sandwiches, cold cuts, and beverages
- Promote food products
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
- Assist customers with their orders and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Operate deli equipment such as slicers, ovens, and grills
- Receive and stock inventory as needed

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a deli or food service environment is preferred
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and portion sizes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
-Experience preparing coffee and espresso-based beverages is considered an asset.
