Position: School Nurse
Term/Status: 1-Year Contract (with the possibility of extension)/ Part-time - Wednesdays and Thursdays, 2:00pm – 9:00pm, plus rotating on-call weekend (every three weeks).

Position Overview:
St. George’s School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide hands-on clinical care to students and staff across our Junior School campus and boarding program. This role is vital to ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our vibrant school community.

Ideal candidates will hold a current R.N. license in good standing with CRNBC with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in nursing. Pediatric, emergency and mental health experience is an asset. Key Details & Schedule:
- Regular Shifts: Wednesday and Thursday evenings (2:00 pm – 9:00 pm)
- Weekends: One rotating on-call weekend every three weeks:
- On-call starts Fridays at 5:00 pm until Mondays at 7:00 am
- Saturday or Sunday 10:00 am – 12:00 pm on site check in.
- Flexibility: Casual coverage for vacation or illness as required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduled student medication administration and documentation.
- Diagnosing student illnesses and/or injuries and providing clinical care as required.
- Providing hands-on care and support for student illness/injuries.
- Helping to ensure all equipment and supplies are available and in inventory.
- Preparing appropriate reports for medical files, documentation and communication with the healthcare team.
- Providing support to staff as needed for medical situations due to illness or injury.
- Providing backup and support as required across both our Junior and Senior School campuses.
Qualifications:
- R.N.; B.Sc., Nursing.
- Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience in clinical care.
- Experience in crisis response and first aid.
- Experience working within an academic environment is preferred.
- Ability to make medical decisions independently.
- Must have own vehicle and clean driving record.
- Current CPR accreditation.
- Team-player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- High-energy individual.
- Self-motivated.
- Superior EQ skills in self-awareness, self-management, social agility, empathy, impact and influence, mastery of purpose and vision.
