RICI Contracting & Environmental is currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused DZ Front-End Garbage Truck Driver to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating front-end loader garbage trucks servicing commercial, industrial, and construction clients throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
The ideal candidate will have experience operating front-end loader trucks, strong knowledge of GTA roadways, and a commitment to safe, efficient, and reliable waste collection operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a front-end loader garbage truck while servicing commercial, industrial, and construction waste accounts
- Complete scheduled collection routes efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service and professionalism
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is operating safely and in compliance with company standards
- Safely load and transport waste materials to approved transfer stations and disposal facilities
- Operate truck controls and equipment safely while collecting and emptying front-end bins
- Maintain accurate route sheets, disposal records, and required vehicle documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations staff regarding route changes, service issues, and equipment concerns
- Identify and report any safety hazards, damaged containers, or mechanical issues
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the truck and equipment
Requirements
- Valid Ontario DZ Driver’s License
- Clean driving record required
- Previous experience operating a front-end loader garbage truck is considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of GTA roads and commercial collection routes
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment and work independently
- Strong understanding of safe driving practices and workplace safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-oriented with a strong work ethic
Assets
- AZ Driver’s License considered a strong asset
- Experience operating other heavy trucks or equipment
- Experience with waste collection, construction, or industrial service environments
- Weekend availability is preferred
