Construction Equipment Fabricator has a full-time position for a Lead Hand FITTER FABRICATOR - PRODUCTION FOREMAN –
- Hands On Manufacturing – Must work / supervise fitters, welders & other shop staff.
- Improving methods; supervising staff.
- Supervises the manufacturing of products by monitoring production levels; setting up processes and workstations for welders & fitters for optimum production.
- Complete, monitor production plans and quality process.
Duties:
- Working on shop floor supervising and working hands-on.
- Supervise the welds, ensure that welding codes and symbols have been understood and welding conforms to the codes/symbols on the drawings.
- Help with Jig making and fixture set up for maximum production levels
- Reaching Human Resource objectives by orienting, assigning, training and coaching employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures.
- Achieves production planning operational objectives by contributing production planning information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
- Meets production operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
- Offers production planning recommendations to strategic improve production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards;
- Meets production financial standards by monitoring costs; implementing corrective actions.
- Completes production requirements by expediting work results; monitoring progress; resolving problems.
- Improves workflow by eliminating stoppages; analyzing delays; trying new methods.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Skills/Qualifications:
- Weld Supervisor with the CWB, Jig Maker, Fitter, Welder, and Minimum of 7-10 years in supervision position, CWB certificate as welder or supervisor is an asset
- Must have experience in structural Plate welding and heavy equipment fabrication. Understanding Construction Equipment Manufacturing would be an asset.
- Able to read and interpret blue prints and drawings.
- Must be fluent in English – both oral and written.
