Full job description

Join the Kitchen team at Sparkling Hill Resort! We currently have an opening available for a Line Cook/Demi Chef de Partie. This role is suited to a candidate who can stay organized and focused a fast-paced environment, and who would like to develop their skills and career in a large kitchen overseeing multiple food & beverage outlets.

Staff accommodation is potentially available on site in double rooms for full time Sparkling Hill employees, working 40 hours per week. If you are selected as a candidate then please inquire during the interview process.

Job Duties:

Prepare a variety of ingredients, sauces, etc. based on the needs of the kitchen
Receive and store food supplies, equipment and utensils in fridges, freezers and storage areas
Stock line coolers and storage areas before, during, and after service
Operate a line station during lunch/dinner service
Check on and stock buffet items to ensure freshness and quality
Assist with preparation and plating for banquets and corporate functions
Adhere to food safety and quality standards at all times
Maintain full knowledge of current and upcoming menu items
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum one year cooking experience required
Knowledge of food quality, safety, sanitization, cost controls, and presentation
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Effective communication and organizational skills
Ability to work cohesively as part of a team, as well as independently
Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
