Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. This role is vital in providing exceptional service to our customers, managing transactions accurately, and creating a welcoming shopping environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and have a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. This position offers an opportunity to develop sales skills, engage with diverse customers, and contribute to the overall success of our store.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a courteous manner
Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions, returns, and exchanges
Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform accurate cash handling procedures
Answer customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and clarity
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth checkout processes
Promote store promotions, loyalty programs, and new products to customers
Assist with inventory management tasks as needed to keep the sales floor well-stocked

Requirements

Excellent communication skills
Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate transactions
Basic math skills for handling cash and calculating totals
Knowledge of POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail merchandising is advantageous
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed; punctuality is essential
Must be able to work all weekends and evenings
Ability to work well within a team and independently when required

Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour
