Job Developer – Project-Based Labour Market Training (PBLMT)

*This position will be based out of both our Vernon and Kelowna offices.*

Piers is seeking a highly organized, participant-focused Job Developer to support the delivery of a Project-Based Labour Market Training (PBLMT) program. This role works closely with participants, WorkBC Employment Services Contractors, employers, and community partners to ensure successful program delivery, participant engagement, safety compliance, and reporting requirements.

The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting individuals facing barriers to employment and comfortable balancing participant support with administrative and contractual responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Support participant onboarding, including collection of consent forms and required documentation
Review project objectives, activities, timelines, and work plans with participants to support successful completion of training placements
Ensure participants receive appropriate workplace orientation, safety training, and ongoing support
Monitor participant attendance and maintain accurate records and documentation
Report weekly attendance and provide monthly progress updates to WorkBC Employment Services Contractors
Maintain regular communication with employers, training sites, and community partners
Provide ongoing supervision, coaching, feedback, and problem-solving support to participants
Address participant concerns, barriers, and workplace issues collaboratively with WorkBC and community partners
Ensure projects remain meaningful, structured, and beneficial to participants
Support exit interviews and participant feedback processes
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, WorkSafeBC requirements, and Ministry expectations
Report workplace incidents immediately and coordinate required documentation, including WorkSafeBC reporting
Assist with development and implementation of personnel procedures related to absences, illness, overtime, and vacation coverage
Qualifications & Experience
Experience working in employment services, social services, workforce development, education, or community-based programming
Strong understanding of trauma-informed, participant-centered service delivery
Excellent communication, documentation, organization, and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate reporting timelines
Experience supporting individuals with employment barriers, mental health challenges, disabilities, or complex life circumstances is considered an asset
Knowledge of WorkBC, employment programming, or government-funded programs is an asset
Comfortable working collaboratively with employers, training providers, and community agencies
Provide skill development, employment support, and community-based harm reduction to CLBC- referred individuals.
Remain up to date on CLBC protocols, health and safety standards, and emerging initiatives.
Transport CLBC clients in a safe and insured vehicle as needed.
Maintain accurate case notes, action plans, and monthly reporting as required.
Support the delivery of our Third-Party Administration Program by collaborating with clients and the Ministry to ensure effective financial administration.
Provide information to clients regarding Ministry policies and our programming as well as information on other community services available to them
Refer participants to appropriate resources, such as treatment, mental health services, health services, food banks, shelters, employment services, etc.
