Shift is seeking an Assistant Regional Manager to work closely alongside the Regional Manager in supporting the day-to-day operations of two satellite residential treatment programs. Working in partnership with The Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre in Coquitlam, this five-bed treatment home serves youth aged 12–18 and blends outdoor adventure, cultural experiences, and trauma-informed clinical care in a rural setting that offers the best of therapeutic, land-based, and community experiences.
As a key member of the leadership team, the Assistant Regional Manager provides operational leadership, mentors frontline staff, helps coordinate programming, and ensures exceptional care for the youth we serve in both satellite programs. The Assistant Regional Manager serves as the Regional Manager's operational partner and assumes leadership responsibilities, ensuring continuity of operations and a high quality of care.

Primary Duties
As Assistant Regional Manager, you will work alongside the Regional Manager to support daily operations. You will balance multiple priorities, including client care, staff leadership, program coordination, crisis response, administration, and programming while helping maintain a positive, team-oriented culture. You will serve as a role model for staff, promote best practices in residential treatment, and help ensure the program consistently delivers high-quality, client-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Regional Manager in the day-to-day operations and administration of the residential treatment programs.
- Provide leadership, coaching, supervision, and mentorship to frontline staff.
- Assist with client intakes and case coordination.
- Support crisis intervention and de-escalation efforts.
- Ensure documentation, reporting, and program records meet organizational, regulatory, and licensing requirements.
- Monitor daily operations to ensure policies, procedures, and treatment protocols are consistently followed.
- Support coordination of therapeutic, recreational, cultural, and land-based programming that supports client treatment goals.
- Build and maintain meaningful relationships with community partners, cultural organizations, and service providers.
- Ensure appointments, transportation, and daily client obligations are coordinated and completed.
- Monitor daily program documentation, incident reporting, payroll, and scheduling.
- Engage with youth as a mentor, advocate, and positive role model.
- Communicate regularly with the Regional Manager, Head Office, The Maples, families, and external partners regarding client care and program operations.
- Assume leadership responsibilities and act on behalf of the Regional Manager when delegated or during periods of absence.
- Participate in occasional on call as designate for Regional Manager. On call duties are primarily conducted remotely via phone and email.

Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Child and Youth Care, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum three years of leadership or supervisory experience in a residential, treatment, or human services setting.
- Experience delivering trauma-informed, culturally safe, and strengths-based programming.
- Valid un-restricted Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract.
- Current Intermediate First Aid and CPR level C certification
- NVCI,MANDT Mental Health First Aid, ASIST, WHMIS, Food Safe, and related certifications are considered assets.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and BC Ministry screening.
- While this role is non-unionized, experience working with employees represented by collective bargaining agreements is considered an asset.
- Valid Social Insurance Number and ability to work in Canada.
