Full job description

Overview

Outback Lakeside Vacation Homes is seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Attendant to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining our vacation homes and supporting the overall guest experience by ensuring all properties are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoys a variety of maintenance and repair tasks in a hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to maintenance requests from guests and team members in a timely and professional manner.
Perform routine repairs and maintenance in vacation homes, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and appliance repairs.
Complete preventative maintenance inspections and tasks according to established schedules.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment, fixtures, appliances, and building systems.
Conduct property inspections to identify maintenance concerns and ensure homes meet company standards.
Perform project work such as painting, pressure washing, carpet cleaning, furniture repair/replacement, and the installation, replacement, and maintenance of property fixtures and equipment.
Assist with seasonal maintenance activities, including winterization and exterior property upkeep.
Coordinate with external contractors when specialized repairs are required.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and inventory.
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Support housekeeping and operations teams as needed to ensure homes are guest-ready.

Skills

Previous maintenance, building maintenance, or property maintenance experience.
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and general maintenance practices.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional on-call shifts as required.

Wage: $25.00 per hour PLUS summer incentive bonus.

Job Type: Seasonal ending October 2026

Schedule: Part Time (20-24 hours per week) - including weekends and holidays
