Full job description

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented individual who is passionate about sustainability to become our Marketing & Sustainability Coordinator!

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Marketing & Sustainability Coordinator supports the Director of Marketing & Communications in advancing The Parkside Hotel & Spa’s sustainability goals while helping execute the hotel's marketing and communications initiatives.

This position is responsible for maintaining sustainability certifications and documentation, coordinating environmental initiatives, and assisting with digital marketing activities, including regular social media planning, content creation, email marketing campaigns, and other various tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Maintains and updates Biosphere certification documentation.
Oversees the annual review and revision of our sustainability policy manuals.
Collaborates with the Director of Marketing & Communications to plan, create, and schedule social media content.
Develops monthly social media content calendars for The Parkside Spa.
Captures and/or utilizes photography and video assets to create engaging content.
Writes blog content for the hotel website and LinkedIn articles.
Creates and distributes email campaigns, including spa newsletters and promotional communications.
Supports the creation, distribution, and organization of marketing collateral and promotional materials.
Assists with the marketing and promotion of hotel events, community partnerships, and guest experiences.
Records and distributes meeting minutes for all Sustainability Committee meetings.
Develops metrics to evaluate the implementation of new sustainability initiatives.
Assists with the optimization of website design and content for sustainability-focused pages.
Works with key hotel departments to audit, evaluate, and synthesize sustainability initiatives across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience managing social media platforms and creating digital content is preferred.
Post-secondary education in marketing, hospitality, or a related field is considered an asset.
Demonstrated understanding of current trends, best practices, and emerging research in marketing, sustainability, and climate action initiatives.
Passionate about marketing and sustainability, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with the ability to take initiative, identify opportunities, and follow projects through to completion.
Competency with Microsoft Office and Canva strongly preferred.
