This posting reflects an existing vacancy.

At On Side, our Contents Technicians play a vital role in helping clients recover during one of the most challenging stages of an insurance claim.
From carefully packing, handling, cleaning, and restoring valued belongings to returning items to our clients’ properties, our Contents Technicians also help bring comfort, normalcy, and peace of mind back to our clients.
As some of the final team members on site, their attention to detail puts the finishing touches on every project and helps clients take the final step toward recovery.
Whether working in the field or in our warehouse, every day offers new challenges, meaningful connections, and the opportunity to make a lasting difference through care, professionalism, and quality workmanship.

The Supervisor on this team reports to the Operations Manager / Content Manager and helps with the day-to-day direction of the team. Leading communications with Project Managers, Adjusters and trades communication skills are a necessary requirement of the job.

Compensation

Salary Range: $24-$30/hr
Overtime opportunities (where applicable)
On-call premium and overtime paid for rotating coverage

What You’ll Do

Leading and providing direction to the team
Training Contents Technicians in proper policies and procedures
Communicating with cross-functional teams and clients
Working with customers to restore personal and commercial items to pre-disaster state
Packing and cataloging contents from disaster affected areas and creating inventory lists
Cleaning contents and structures
Cleaning fabrics and textiles
Assisting contents/operations managers in performance evaluations and development of field staff
Managing project documentation, including inventory
Assisting with hands-on expertise to reduce additional trips to site/cost
Managing staff schedules and warehouse activities

What You Bring

At least 2 years of experience in leading a team
Previous Restoration experience
Technical skills: expertise in property damage assessment, restoration techniques, and construction industry knowledge
Commitment to corporate citizenship, social responsibility, and values
An optimistic outlook and a real desire to help
Tech ability and comfort using Encircle, MS Office and Excel, ability to quickly learn and navigate digital tools and systems
Exceptional organizational skills
Physically fit (ability to lift, carry and pack boxes) and willingness to follow all company safety requirements
Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal
Valid driver’s licence & clean drivers abstract
Clean criminal record
IICRC certificate, valid or expired, is an asset

This role requires strong organizational skills, inventory management, and the use of technology such as Encircle, Excel, and Microsoft Office. Please provide an example of how you have managed inventory, documentation, schedules, or project information while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Tell us about a time you worked with a customer following a stressful event or challenging situation. How did you demonstrate empathy, communicate effectively, and ensure a positive outcome while meeting project or business objectives?
Can you consistently lead by example, demonstrating proper procedures and ensuring company policies, standards, and best practices are followed, reinforced, and taught to team members?
Are you able to work a rotating on call schedule, responding to emergency calls after regular hours? This on call work is in addition to your scheduled daytime hours, and premium pay as well as overtime will be provided.
An insured's cherished item has been damaged. While your initial assessment suggests the item may be non-restorable, the insured has owned it for many years and it holds significant sentimental value. Describe how you would evaluate the item, determine whether it should be rated non-restorable, label the item and communicate your decision while remaining sensitive to the insured's emotional attachment.

Experience:

Supervisory Leadership: 2 years (preferred)
Contents Technician industry: 2 years (preferred)
