Full job description

We seek a Business Law Legal Assistant on behalf of a progressive and vibrant mid-sized law firm in downtown Victoria. As the successful candidate for this opportunity, you are a confident individual with progressive experience as an LAA in corporate/commercial.

Responsibilities:

Drafting and revising legal documents and correspondence
Assist with client intake, file management, and communication
Providing administrative support on corporate/commercial transactions
Handling some routine transactions, with support from others
Tracking and following up on deliverables
Conducting registry searches and other due diligence matters
Scheduling and managing calendars
Assisting with marketing initiatives as required (e.g. blogs, webinars)
Assisting with closing matters

Requirements:

3-5+ years of experience managing a business law practice
Completion of a recognized Legal Administrative Assistant program
Collegial, flexible, and team-oriented approach
Tech savvy with advanced computer skills
Confident and motivated, with meticulous attention to detail

Compensation: the base salary for this role is expected to be in the range of $60,000 - $78,000, depending on individual experience and qualifications
