Journeyman Reinforcing Ironworker – (Victoria, British Columbia)

We are currently seeking experienced Journeymen Reinforcing Ironworkers to join our team for major infrastructure, commercial, and high-rise projects in Victoria and surrounding areas, British Columbia.

What You’ll Do

Place, tie, and secure reinforcing steel (rebar) on commercial, residential and infrastructure projects in horizontal and vertical formworks.
Identify the different sizes, lengths and bend types of rebar.
Perform physical work like packing, tying and cutting rebar with specialty tools for the trade and placing rebar chairs appropriately.
Read and interpret detail sheets and drawings.
Work with apprentices.
Work around various cranes and at heights with positioning equipment.

Must be safety conscious and follow all LMS safety protocols.

What You Bring

Proven experience in reinforcing steel installation (2 years minimum)
Ability to read and understand construction drawings
Strong work ethic and reliability
Commitment to safe work practices
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew
Journeyman certificate, issued in Canada, or a Red Seal certificate as a reinforcing ironworker is considered an asset.

Location
