Full job description

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our Multi-age program. As one of our valued educators has recently dealing with their family emergency, we are thoughtfully reviewing applications and will move forward should an exceptional candidate be identified. We are specifically looking for an educator with experience working in a licensed childcare setting.

The ideal candidate is nurturing, creative, and knowledgeable about BC Child Care Licensing rules and regulations, and is committed to helping us maintain a safe, engaging, and compliant learning environment.

Please note: We can only consider applicants who hold a valid ECE or Infant/Toddler certification in British Columbia. Candidates must already be legally eligible to work in Canada at the time of application. We are open to support LMIA if there's a perfect fit candidate.

Position Details

Work Term: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: June 15, 2026
Language of Work: English
Experience: Minimum 2+ years in BC (or equivalent experience)
Setting: Licensed Child Care Centre

Key Responsibilities

Plan and implement programs that support children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
Lead engaging activities such as storytelling, singing, arts and crafts, and local outings
Encourage creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and movement
Support children in developing healthy habits related to eating, dressing, and toileting
Observe, document, and assess each child’s development, and communicate regularly with families and colleagues
Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Ensure daily practices meet licensing requirements and safety standards
Work collaboratively with team members and community partners

Requirements

Valid ECE or ECE Infant/Toddler certification in British Columbia
Minimum two professional reference letters
Strong understanding of BC Child Care Licensing Regulations
Clear Criminal Record Check
Up-to-date immunization records
