Job Description

The responsibilities are as follows:

Prepares compilation and review engagement files, financial statements and corporate income tax returns for a wide variety of clients
Prepares personal income tax returns and trust income tax returns
Prepares a variety of Tslips
Fulfills a variety of support roles in accounting and bookkeeping for clients
Prepares GST and other statutory returns for clients as required
Assists with special projects as assigned by partners and managers

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree
Eligible to enroll or currently enrolled in the CPA program or recently qualified CPA
Strong academic record
Great work ethic and ability to work in a team environment
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with both clients and colleagues
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Additional skills of a preferred candidate:

Familiarity with accounting and tax software (SAGE, QuickBooks, TaxPrep, CaseWare)
Corporate accounting or financial statement experience
Corporate tax experience
Personal tax experience
Bookkeeping experience
