Full job description

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, energetic individual to join our weekend team in a dynamic All-round varied and supportive role. Weekend shifts are scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays from 4:30 PM until midnight and involve planning and implementing recreational activities for our residents including games, crafts, and larger events. This team member will also serve a small section in the dining room or support other servers during dinner service, responding to resident alarms, be responsible for some food preparation (about 1 hour during the later part of the shift cutting fruits and vegetables) and keep the building secure through the evening. Duties

Plan, organize, and implement recreational programs tailored to the interests and abilities of residents.
Facilitate group activities that promote social interaction, physical fitness, and cognitive stimulation.
Assist residents in participating in activities, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to understand individual preferences and needs.

Skills

A suitable candidate has:

· An ability to think creatively about recreational programming

· An ability to work alone and be self directed

· Some serving experience or ability to learn

· Some food prep experience or ability to learn

· Ability to work with varying abilities in a non judgemental way

Qualifications

One year of experience leading and implementing activities for people with varying abilities
First Aid
Successful criminal record check review
Serving it Right
Foodsafe
