Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment, fostering student development, and implementing engaging instructional strategies. This role requires strong communication skills, classroom management abilities, and a commitment to supporting diverse learners, including children with special needs and disabilities. The Teacher will collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to ensure each student’s academic and social success.

Duties

Develop and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in English, French, or other subjects.
Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports children’s emotional, social, and academic growth.
Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with disabilities or special education requirements.
Assess student progress through observations, tests, and assignments; provide constructive feedback.
Foster effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a collaborative educational atmosphere.
Utilize computer skills and classroom technology to enhance instructional delivery and record keeping.
Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement strategies and organizational skills.
Support students’ individual learning plans and coordinate with specialists when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices and curriculum updates.

Requirements

Proven experience working with children in an educational setting; classroom experience preferred.
Knowledge of early childhood education, special education, or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
Strong communication skills—verbal and written—and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and demonstrate leadership within the classroom environment.
Proficiency in computer operation and use of educational software or tools.
Childcare experience is advantageous; passion for fostering student growth is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $28.00-$29.00 per hour
