Full job description

Castle Construction is looking for Pipelayers and Labourers to work in our growing Underground Division.

Job Description:

Properly install sanitary and storm sewer piping and structures on grade as per drawing and specification
Properly install water mains on proper grade and alignment
Assist operators in excavation of trenches
Grade and level trench bases, using laser equipment and properly tamping in preparation of pipe laying
Check and confirm grade using laser equipment or transit level and grade rod

Relevant Skills:

Ability to lift 50lbs
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods of time
Ability to safely and accurately cut and bevel pipe
Ability to safely and efficiently operator power tools and cutting equipment, power saws, and chain saws
Ability to effectively communicate with crew members
Ability to think logically and independently
Ability to fill out basic paperwork including Field Level Hazard Assessments
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to work away from home

Qualifications:

No experience required for labourers, however is an asset
1+ years as an underground pipelayer
Drivers license required
Safety requirements: CSTS, WHMIS, TDG, First Aid, Ground Disturbance. *Training assistance can be given to the right candidate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 50 per week
