Job Summary

Support store goals by leading a customer-focused team, optimizing inventory and merchandising, and creating a seamless shopping experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Store Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Key horlder include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsible for opening and closing the store
Assists customers on the sales floor, on the telephone, as well as at the registers
Proactively seek to learn and grow through personal learning and development opportunities

Strong ability to understand and anticipate customer needs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Capability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Physical ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pet knowledge and experience is an asset.
Previous supervisory experience is an asset.

Minimum Requirements

Availability to work some weekday evenings until 9:30 p.m. and most weekends
Previous experience as keyholder
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Desire to continuously learn and improve product knowledge.
Pet knowledge/experience and supervisory experience are considered assets.

Compensation

The expected salary for this position is $17.60–$18 per hour. Total compensation may vary based on the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
