Full job description

The 519 Group is a restaurant group downtown Guelph that includes, Baker Street Station, Royal Electric, Roy's Pizza, La Reina and Bad Luck Bar.

We are seeking a motivated and reliable employee to help grow our pastry department. This role includes a passion for food and baking, along with a commitment to excellence in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This is currently a part-time position, with the possibility for growth in the future.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

Create and manage prep lists.

Follow recipes to mix breads, batters and other pastry items.

Communicate and collaborate, working closely with our Executive Pastry Chef to ensure product quality and new menu items.

Contribute to kitchen standards as well as health and safety protocols.

Operate kitchen machinery safely and effectively

Lift and move up to 50lbs

Qualifications

Morning availability (7am-3pm) 3 days per week

Reliable, punctual and detail oriented

Prior baking experience required

Knowledge of basic pastry techniques

Food handlers certificate

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
